I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

CBA do look after their staff generally (within my business unit) Flexibility, Staff Deals, Fairness etc

    Cons

They don't always remunerate their good staff well, which can lead to attrition and loss of local knowledge

I worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good people and culture, it's a good fit if you've got a family and want a solid career with the ability to have quiet time on the side.

    Cons

Senior management still in a older school mindset, particularly around working from home and flexible working arrangements.

I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The perks and programs at CBA are second to none, you could almost have a full time job just trying to keep up with the benefits available. There are discounts on products, programs to support your health & wellbeing, or great banking products and service... the list goes on. If you're having a tough time, there's counselling, free seminars on everything from mental health to financial health, leave for every scenario that might come into your life, and complimentary insurance for random events of awful. There are a plethora of internal communities for every kind of person, they all run events and programs, and make work fun, challenging, and inspiring. The pay is good, the bonus structure better and more generous than most, and leaders have drummed into them that people are the most important asset of an organisation. They really take care of their staff.

    Cons

It's pretty bureaucratic, you have to be patient when it comes to getting stuff done. There is a big culture of managing up, name-dropping, and altering responses for role titles. It's also a pretty easy organisation to coast at - full of lifers who know they're too hard to get rid of, so they've just been there since government ownership days.

I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia for less than a year

    Pros

They put on an act as if they are fair Pay salary on time

    Cons

Highly racist place to work You need to suck up to seniors and if you are of Indian origin you would not get any progress. They made entire Fee For No Service contract team of 200+ people redundant but they placed people in their different department except for people of Indian origin.
