    Pros

equipment, space. Can't say much else that's positive

    Cons

Bad culture, bad supervision, bad structure, bad support. I don't know a single ECR (postdoc / PhD) who enjoyed their time at CSIRO. No cohesive program, no skill transfer. Very isolated work culture.

I worked at Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Jobs are secure. You literally can do nothing and still get paid a lot of money.

    Cons

1- Nontransparent 2- Very toxic work culture 3- None existent leadership and very poor management 4- Bullying is common 5- Unqualified individuals (close friends with people in charge of Business Units within CSIRO) get promoted to balance gender and diversity in the organisation (especially executive and management positions). 6- Very exclusive management (performance does not matter but what matters is if one is a member of unofficial exclusive clubs that decide how rewards are decided)
