Pros

Some of the people who worked at Commuter Club were kind, friendly and shared in the pains for Commuter Club. Snacks and breakfast were provided, take out lunch also every other Friday.

Cons

Bullying culture and scaremongering of staff, as senior management had little or no people skills and therefore don't know how to manage employees. Hostile working environment, where you are scared to approach management. There is no sense of team or culture, which is very important when working in an early stage business. An awful lot is expected of employees with little renumeration, even for a start up salaries are awfully low with zero share options. An example of this is working every day over Christmas with no holiday permitted yet still no 'thank you' or show of support during this time. People are lured in to work for a 'start up' and the exciting journey, but the truth is, only the senior management get praise, acknowledgement and they do not honour promises that were made upon employment. Employees are frowned upon for taking a lunch break and leaving work at a normal hour, as management feel the need to work 12+ hour days and pressure others to do the same. Poor on-boarding of employees and little or no support for managers. Little or no awareness of Work / Life balance, although this is. start up, encourage employees to take time off and avoid burn out.
