I have been working at Country Road Group for less than a year

    Pros

Staff discount for part-time and full-time worker. Warehouse clothing sale

    Cons

Minimum wages and minimum allowances. Managers and staff have very low self-esteem. Categorised hard skinny workers on heavy duties and slow big workers on light duties. High staff turn over

I worked at Country Road Group full-time

    Pros

Staff discount for mediocre, overpriced clothing. The staff discount brings it down to a more realistic price point.

    Cons

A culture of bullying is widespread throughout the organisation. This culture of bullying cascades from the top down, and when fused with inept management at all levels, the bullying just snowballs. HR is aware of the bullying but won't do anything because they've let it go too long and is perceived to be too big to rein in. Prior to resigning, HR told me to think long and hard before embarking on a bullying claim. So feeling defeated and unsupported, I simply left and took with me valuable years of IP and knowledge.

I have been working at Country Road Group

    Pros

Staff discounts, Convenient office location (currently)

    Cons

Poor political culture from the top with poor management styles also in middle management leading to a culture of mediocrity and complacency. Despite a high ratio of women employees, almost no women sit on the executive. With the migration and amalgamation of David Jones HO to Melbourne (moving to Botanica @Burnley), significant knowledge loss and poor recruitment (due to poor leadership within the business transformation) which will further diminish the culture and productivity.

I worked at Country Road Group

    Pros

Great location, relaxed atmosphere with casual dress. Clothing allowance and staff discount across the brands was very generous

    Cons

Workload in head office was way too high. Senior Executives relied on the brand to attract talent and then worked them so hard they got burnt out
