I worked at Cowboy Bail Bonds full-time

    Pros

Most of my coworkers are great people. Very helpful and that's including everyone from corporate to other offices in the company. The ability to network with lawyers, jail deputies and clerks is great if that's a possible career choice for someone.

    Cons

    No negative cons till yet.

I have been working at Cowboy Bail Bonds

    Pros

While working at Cowboy's Bail Bond, I have the opportunity to work with great team who demonstrates that not every opportunity was automatically the right opportunity. In the business of bail bonds clients and client representatives will tell you everything under the sun to gain your trust however the facts are the same – the person is in jail for violating the trust of the community. To gain the trust again requires certain procedures to be followed, and if the clients can not follow certain established steps that he has in place then more than likely they will continue to violate that trust and not capable of earning his trust. By not earning his trust means Mr. Les does not issue a bond or accept them as a client. Many of the bond agencies are motivated by financial gain and thus have short-lived careers whereas his agency has been consistently growing for over 10 years

    Cons

No con so far for this.

I have been working at Cowboy Bail Bonds full-time

    Pros

Great Head. She is a terrific person, very professional, and kind. Great workplace environment and very calm. Great pay for how difficult the work is.

    Cons

Far too stressful for the returns. By its very nature, it is difficult. Coupled with a very small pool of employees, it can be overwhelming.

I worked at Cowboy Bail Bonds for more than a year

    Pros

    I loved my co-workers!

    Cons

I worked for them for nearly 2 years and they were terrible. They had no value of family. Expect to work on Christmas as well as every other holiday while the Owners go vacationing all the time. Your advance request for a day or 2 off will always be denied. If you are a female you will rarely get a raise, And when you do its in cents, not dollars. You will also never be allowed to be manager because they will always go to a male. They are a disgrace of a company and I wouldn't even recommend my worst enemy to work for them. Please Please Please AVOID!!!!

I worked at Cowboy Bail Bonds full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are no pros. Just cons.

    Cons

I was worried about a backlash against the business if I wrote a negative review, but I'm seeing a number of people here being taken for a ride because of the positive notes on GlassDoor and other job review websites. Warning: CBB is paying their employees an incentive to write positive reviews. Most of these good reviews are questionable. The interview process is long. I did a phone interview, and then a video interview. After that it was a recorded video interview with a web cam. And then 2 in person interviews. I get the need to have qualified canidates, but that can be overkill. Not to mention a waste of someone's time if they end up not being hired. That's 5 interviews 1 person has to go through. 5 interviews that could have been spent looking at other businesses. The management is horrible. They make a a lot of last minute changes (and I mean it. Like turns around and decides 10 minutes before they want to meet with you to throw everything you did out the window and expect a new presentation to be ready in 10 minutes). They take a long time to get to a point that it disrupts your work for hours at a time. They don't give details or examples of what they want. They just expect you to read their minds and do things their way. Certain managers are also incredibly rude, swear constantly, and will verbally harass you in front of your co-workers if you make a tiny mistake. I saw it happen so many times, it's no wonder the business has a high turn-over rate. The management is running everyone away! And people were not at all friendly. Everyone just comes in to work and leaves. We're all freaked out by management, no one wants to say anything. Might get in trouble that way. The buildings are horrible. Not clean. Cramped. Stuffy. How do they expect people to stay long term? The only nice place is their Garland store which has a HUGE office in the back that's never used. It's the biggest, cleanest store and they only have 2 people working there while they cram 10-20 in a tiny space in Dallas? The schedule is a nightmare. I applied full-time for a max of 40 hour work week. Ended up being 60-80 and with no overtime pay. They were not understanding for people's time off (if they even allowed it! I saw a co-worker cry when they couldn't take a day for a funeral). I worked a lot of double shifts and it was grueling. It wasn't what I was promised. I came in being filled with all of these promises for advancement, learning, opportunities to grow. I left completely shocked that everything I was told was wrong. I ended a stable job for a chance at something new with this business. Completely disappointed. What I was hired for was entirely different from the job I worked, and it changed constantly! And good luck trying to get your last paycheck. They forced me to go into their offices and have a meeting with one of the top managers, where they yelled and swore at me constantly, before I was allowed to get my last paycheck. In this state you are not required to return to the offices where you left/were let go from to get your last paycheck. But they were refusing to budge. Do NOT work here. Stay as far away as possible. Unless you enjoy being lied to, having your schedule constantly changed and working horrible hours and double shifts, having your responsibilities shift at a moment's notice, management who does not care about people or what it means to be responsible, low pay, and an environment that promotes a sad workforce.

I worked at Cowboy Bail Bonds full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I also agree with the previous post about fake reviews. While i worked there they actively told employees to write reviews positive reviews to try balance out the negative reviews. They also had a contest to ask customers to leave 5 star reviews on google, even going as far as to offer a trip to Vegas for the winner.

    Cons

The turnover is really bad at this company. They routinely look for new employees because the employees they hire are always quitting.
