    I worked at Credit Suisse

I have been working at Credit Suisse

    Pros

Good hours for an IB, flexible work arrangement available, somewhat more relaxed than other IB environments, friendly work environment, good office location

    Cons

All about deployment and cost cutting, not had an increase in comp for years, claims they value human capital but can't see that in action, as far as middle/back office is concerned, they are all about deploying as much as possible to India and Poland. Staff in those regions have much more career opportunities and increases in comp than NY or London based staff. Low morale, static management, outdated IT systems makes the work more difficult than it needs to be. They let talented people leave, and are replaced by incompetent middle management. Also they try to push "grow your own" and "internal mobility" when in fact senior mgmt positions are often recruited from rival firms.
