  1. "Like working for Amazon"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Former Freelancer - Art Handler in New York, NY

I worked at Crozier Fine Arts for more than a year

    Pros

I’ll try and think of something...

    Cons

Low wage, byzantine beauracracy, constant staff turnover, injuries, regular 7am (or earlier) call times. Go with a smaller company that has more experienced and better motivated art handlers.

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Crozier Fine Arts full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The company has a great reputation built on the previous ownership and leadership team.

    Cons

Since being bought out by a real estate company, upper management has no care for the actual original mission of the company and the spirit, quality and standard has completely disappeared

I worked at Crozier Fine Arts full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Provides insight into the ways of a major art transport company. Lots of amazing art, which you occasionally get to view.

    Cons

Physical Environment: overwhelmingly depressing. Old warehouse, few windows, old carpet, terrible heating in the office (though there is temperature control for the art) Social Environment: People overall seem very dissatisfied and unhappy in their jobs, which results in a lot of pettiness, anger, and drama. Some people can be quite cruel, others merely disengaged and unprofessional. The work itself was mind-numbing and repetitive. Office job from hell. On top of that, pay is extremely low.

I worked at Crozier Fine Arts full-time

    Pros

Very talented coworkers who were a delight to work with. Generally fair compensation if you were able to advocate for yourself.

    Cons

New management from outside the industry means strengths /weaknesses of the workforce may not be properly recognized. Not sure if the culture of the company will survive expansion / corporate influence.

I have been working at Crozier Fine Arts full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are no pros at all, company is a joke.

    Cons

Unprofessional, act like this is high school. No one respects anyone, I called a manager 15 times for a client that was down stairs. I sent multiple emails and it took her over 25 minutes to respond.
