I worked at Danone North America full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good salary, free yogurt, generous PTO

    Cons

Too many cliques in every team. We had a manager that completely dismantled our successful team and then left the company. We found out later he never managed a team in his career.. Shocker!

I have been working at Danone North America

    Pros

Great marketing support, solid brands with good equity, single category focus, strong product development, generous amount of PTO days, compensation and benefits.

    Cons

Upper management not integrating with all departments, the "open" office environment, very lean organization in terms of head count, limited support for the sales team which strongly inhibits growth, European style management that is unfamiliar on how to go-to-market in the U.S.

I have been working at Danone North America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1-Great, benefits 2-Awesome co-workers who care 3-Opportunity to Grow

    Cons

1-Just do not tell anyone the honest truth of how you appreciate those benefits, because you will be seen as a person who is not fully committed to relentlessly labor for the Dannon way. 2-Try to enjoy your co-workers, but most of them are nose deep in excessive amounts of work just trying to catch a breath of personal life, as are you. Dannon seldom trains, mentors or develops people to meet their responsibilities. They place employees in overextended situations and due to attrition beyond levels of effective productivity for the company. 3-You grow if you know someone that will look out for you, otherwise you just have various critical eyes waiting for you to mess up so their buddy from some other company, where they originally came from, is waiting for your position. Dannon is great for people whom have been trained and invested in fully, by other companies. 4-Change is good, God knows that it is, but changing for the sake of changing (everything: company structure, product lines, timelines, the list goes on...) every month and on a whim with little to support the reason for the change, just makes for countlessly lost hours of work and a diminished self-value due to the lack of appreciation of upper management, and as a consequence direct managers. 5-Replace the word stability in your vernacular, by the words 'Crisis Mode." These words are the CEO's and the rest of his SLT's favorite. You cannot expect to work to live, no that would only be a dignity some human beings can have, but you are just a cog. You live to work and if you think otherwise, do not fret, you will be ejected and replaced in an expeditious manner. They fire people every 3 to 6 months, it is only a matter of time, one cycle you are up, another you are just some guy who could not get it done after they increased your workload.

I have been working at Danone North America full-time

    Pros

Dannon is driving growth in a very fun category. Retailers want to meet with you and are excited to discuss your products. As the business is growing, there are tons of new opportunities being created every day. People are incredibly helpful and generally very happy to be here. Almost the organization has been at Dannon for 3 years or fewer, so it is easier to integrate since everyone is looking to meet new people.

    Cons

Dannon is a "challenger" company by design. You will never have the resources that your key competitors do. For some, this is a great opportunity, for others this will be a challenge you can't get over. Being located in the northeast hurts Dannon's ability to understand the US market. Many strategies are created that work in the northeast, but nowhere else.
