I worked at Danone North America full-time

    Pros

Be invisible and life is good. Make as many mistakes as you can just be part of a click and don't worry.

    Cons

West Jordan plant is filled with managers who are using GASLIGHTING and MANIPULATION to destroy every potential that walks trough the door. They all complain about French leadership but local UNQUALIFIED and NARCISISTIC Managers afraid of " Other" and " Different " are cornering everyone who is not part of the click. A lots of them upgraded from an operator to a Manager 5 years ago without any knowledge or training...

I have been working at Danone North America full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Good benefits Excellent amount of PTO A lot of different things in the company to be involved with Paid for overtime

      Cons

Staffing in the lab is not sufficient and results in a lot of forced and unwanted overtime Will have to work on holidays even if there is no production Not much guidance or support from direct lab supervisor No room for growth

      Advice to Management

Listen to the people that are in the trenches every day. Investigate what you are hearing instead of just assuming it's true. Give encouragement every once in a while and recognize when people are doing their jobs well

I worked at Danone North America full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The amount of PTO is decent (if you can actually use it without working). The ability to work remotely and free products

      Cons

Everything else. Only expect to get promoted if you are between 22-28 or an expat and brag about all the work you do (even if you don’t do anything). Amount of people leaving the company is ridiculous. Do not consider applying here.

      Advice to Management

Take a hard look at the culture from an American’s point of view. It’s awful...toxic....

I have been working at Danone North America full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Benefits are fantastic and the upper level of leadership is sound.

      Cons

Politics are not fantastic - especially from the business side to the technology side.

      Advice to Management

The company needs to be aligned between the governance from France which is typically good and the local CBS units whom do not have any idea what they are doing - at least in the US

I worked at Danone North America full-time

      Pros

Free yogurt if you’re into that. Can get away with doing nothing as management is too disengaged to care/looking to get out themselves.

      Cons

Directionless since acquisition of whitewave in 2017. Since then, all talented people have left for better jobs with other conpanies. Employees that could get other jobs did. Those still there fall into 3 categories - 1) interviewing & trying to get out, 2) aren't able to get an offer from another company so stuck there or 3) are an ex-patriots from Europe who Dannon hosts in the US because no local talent wants...

      Advice to Management

Stand for something and show direction. Figure out how to hold onto employees. Stop closing plants- it is very despressing.
