I worked at Dealer.com full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great people. Great culture. Fun work environment. Lots of potential for growth. Good management.

    Cons

Cox healthcare is only mediocre. It's not bad but it's not as good as the dealer.com one was.

I worked at Dealer.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free food and beer sometimes. Doesn't require thinking. Very monotonous.

    Cons

Long hours, low wages, poor leadership, and a downright insulting work flow. Working here showed me how terrible the private sector can be. From having to consistently put up with toxic social interactions, erratic leadership, fluid goal posts, and no professional growth opportunities this company is truly killing innovation faster than any tech company I've seen. The leadership during my time not only threatened not to pay me after I found a new job, they also didn't take any feedback that any employees gave seriously. They did not put in nearly as much work as the entry level employees. They had so many guidelines, best practices, and work flows that it was impossible to do the job up to their standards. The campaign coordinator team that the graphics design team worked with was untrained, basically unsupervised, and had zero experience working on computers in many cases. The leadership also promoted a communication style where employees were told to chat each other, even when they were in the same room. When you can't write, you can't chat, therefore you can't communicate, and therefore you get frustrated. This was a horrible experience on almost every level, and I am so glad to have left.

    I have been working at Dealer.com full-time

    Pros

Amazing building, great gyms, Cafeteria food is the best(local and organic mostly). Most of the people you work with are great

    Cons

Terrible Management can't decide what the company needs. Constant shifting of strategies. Zero consistency. Our customers use to be our primary focus now its on making internal numbers for management to show "improvement". Amazing company has totally lost what made it the best in the industry. Really struggling to find a place out there when it use to have such a solid position. Constant changes create lots of extra work hard , lots of people are working weekends to keep up.

I have been working at Dealer.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - with the right position, there are plenty of opportunities to grow & learn in order to advance professionally - amazing & supportive work community, culture - fun work environment - good 401k & PTO benefits - inspiring & motivational GM

    Cons

    - corporate management is based out of Atlanta, can sometimes be out of touch with VT happenings (i.e. not many in-network health care options in VT) - always trying to do more with less - you'll need a strong work ethic (the perks justify this in my mind)

I have been working at Dealer.com

    Pros

When your employees are people that matter: work life balance is a benefit that all employees benefit from: promotions are awarded for performance: job postings stay up so that all that qualified can apply not just your best guy friend; unlimited vacation means everyone gets to take one; work days are 8 hours more often than 12 hrs: client facing teams are not asked to lie to clients; and your public job title matches your actual job title and pay. Seriously calling a performance consultant a performance manager but not giving the salary of one is dishonest in away that makes ones stomach cringe. Seriously if I told my clients I was a Vice President when I wasn’t would that be honest? Integrity is absent . Honesty is absent. Oops I thought this was the cons section.

    Cons

Honesty is absent from too many leaders.
