    Great environment, leading product, open, honest direct management policy, fantastic benefits and excellent pay.

    I work too many hours because of my passion for the product, but that is my decision and my fault, not something I'm being forced to do.

    Pros

    I am confident that the people, products and long-term strategy of this company are the best in the industry. Dealertrack has the best of the best in leadership and those leaders are heavily involved in the day-to-day and available for team members. The company firms believes in a work/life balance and that is evident in tenureship. Finally I will say the company, as large as it is, still has the values of a small family owned business. Remarkable.

    - Middle Management has no idea what's going on - "Old School" Sales techniques taught, not consultative - Integration of other companies is a complete nightmare - Customer Service is terrible for the client

Our compensation and benefits teams work hard to provide our valued team members with the best! We are sorry to hear about your concerns regarding middle management, sales techniques, integration, and customer service. As you know, Dealertrack was acquired by Cox Automotive in 2015 and since the acquisition, we have been working hard to merge our practices. This is not a painless process, and we appreciate the flexibility of our team members while our company grows. With growth brings even more perks and benefits for our team members – Dealertrack has a bright future ahead and it’s an exciting time to grow with us! We are continually evaluating and evolving our practices to drive business results. In particular, our Sales Team and Client Services Team have undergone changes that have enhanced performance and resulted in us exceeding many of our company goals. We will continue to make improvements across our organization to benefit our team members and ensure success.

    Pros

    Benefits, Paid time off, great stock options and retirement. The company is backed by Cox Automotive, the group of Cox family products. Been around for years.

    Cons

    Terrible management that blatantly gets away with everything. I don't know how a manager who's supposed to be in the office 4 times a week and shows up for 2 to 3 of the days still had their job, especially when they're lying all the time about where they are and what they're doing. Not good ethics at all.

    Fast growing company with lots of solutions and personal opportunity for advancement. Should be even more opportunity with the acquisition by Cox.

    Cons

    Rapid growth causes frequent change of focus. Hard to get consistency or represent the company well in front of customers.
