I worked at Debenhams part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Other people I was working with were very friendly.
The job itself was relatively easy to do.

    Cons

My Manager made the working environment very tense and stressful, always critiquing what people are doing.
Shifts were often short which made travelling not worthwhile.
A big focs on up-selling and hitting sales targets over giving the best customer service.

    Advice to Management

Look at places with high staff turnover and look at why that might be. Lots of people joined then left the department not long afterwards and most of the time it was purely because of the manager.
