Pros

Decent work hours. Government work is not very challenging and can be very slow at times. And free sodas but that's it's.

Cons

Horrible managers. I have never been to a company that hired so many of there friends and family even though they don't have any experience. Most people leave after a year at this company. Having industry experience I don't see this company growing much larger, and I don't see it lasting for more than 5 or 10 years based on how I've seen each department run.

We're sorry to hear that your experience was less than you expected. We have over 340 employees in multiple locations and 11 states. Edaptive takes employee satisfaction very seriously. We have even implemented a tool called TINYpulse so that every employee has a way to anonymously provide us feedback and make suggestions. Our senior leadership reviews every comment made there and then posts the results for the entire company - we don't hide or remove anything, else is specifically mentions another employee in a negative way. We conduct a process annually to allow our employees to provide feedback on their managers, and then do our best to address those concerns.

Pros

Free sodas and flexible work hours. Government work tends to be easy and not very technical.

Cons

Very poor management training. Many of the managers are friends or neighbors of someone else in the company. Many people in higher positions (Directors, head of HR) got the position because they knew one of the owners or happened to be around when the company started. These people however are not qualified either based on a degree or past experience. The managers puts the blame on people that are friends with others in the company (while they simultaneously protect those that are friends with the owners). The projects they have aren't very technical so people with real IT experience will feel they are wasting time since the company does not use industry standard tools or programs.

Pros

Nothing really good to say. They encourage 50-60 hour weeks, disprove of prototyping or new ideas despite approving tools, CMs tend to make stuff up as they go, and managers follow ripped slides from wikipedia. Everybody are"yes" men and are more mindless drones with no real ideas or solutions. Mediocrity is defended well and if managers aren't giving the ideas, they neglect the team. I have never seen a PM texting in peripheral sight of a customer during a sprint review or heard a manager ask an employee about a basic Agile staple despite apparently having a higher cert, and attempting to sell "agile" to the govt. It is one thing to oversell, but I have seen more peddling of side projects than actual team deliverables. I wonder how many of these reviews are plants. A lot I bet. Edaptive is cheap. They put on a good show but cannot provide business cards to the employees unless they meet customers or even get a JIRA or even a TRAC like system. These guys will bait and switch you anyway they can.

Cons

-Bad benefits -No defect system -Bait and switch -Rejection of good talent -No really proven Agile managers, just smoke and mirrors
