Pros

Competent and knowledgeable staff, despite poor management

Cons

No benefits - other than healthcare (dental & vision too pricey) 401k with NO COMPANY MATCH Non-competetive compensation Professionals don't stay real long – those who can swim resign Location from metro Atlanta = can’t get talented people willing to drive No vision – wanting to change but no clear roadmap how to achieve Un-professional environment - vulgar language Unsafe workplace - Sexual harassment rampant Management hostile towards smart & talented people Culture of ZERO mistakes – staff disciplined harshly for minor errors Most of the staff is dissatisfied Staff reluctant to create process improvement Staff apathy resulting in lack of innovation at a software firm! Casual work space is too casual. Cadre of management with little or no people skills Management unwilling to listen Management reluctant to give autonomy to staff Life work balance non existent Key senior people resigning Ad-Hoc processes without documentation

Pros

The company is growing fast and has a great international presence. They have offices in Woodstock, London, Germany, and China. They don't seem to have any direct competition, and they're customer demand is always growing; so there's plenty of room to grow. Management likes to do little things like free lunches, free snacks, espresso machine, and social nights (beer nights). The company is very stable financially, and covers 90% of health insurance costs for employees and family. The insurance has a low deductible and no co-insurance, and they provide 15 days of PTO to start. Also, for most people, getting to the office means going away from traffic. Managers expect a lot, but I think they treat people fairly. There is a lot that can be learned here, including providing software as a service, database management, project management, shipping and logistics, and international business.

Cons

There is a big learning curve for most roles, and some people still wear multiple hats. They also don't have some of the benefits of larger companies, but along with that, employees still have a name and not a number.
