Pros
I had a great experience growing at ActiveTrail, though little agency was given beyond the role one was given. Most of the employees are very nice and kind people and we were able to form a family type of bond and some friendships that lasted long after. Management is not that bright in keeping up with employees day to day and a lot of time is spent dead with no real initiative. I believe if you are looking for a laid back work environment, ActiveTrail can be the place.
Cons
There isn't much room to grow in the company and it seems as though the company itself does not wish to grow much either. The employee turn around isn't very high but those that do leave, do it because of the benefits and low salaries. Announcing that no employees will be receiving a raise for over 2 years is not a good idea. When a raise is indeed given, it is also given with a feeling of "doing you a favor", which is unfortunate and causes them to lose great employees.
All other benefits are quite minimal, with no meal payments and quite outdated computers. Definitely not high-tech conditions but the HR team is trying really hard with the budgets they are given.
