If you're applying and you're not sure what you will be doing at AS let me explain: you will do mass searches for people on LinkedIn using key words (they call this research), you then spam everyone you find using an automated message, cold call everyone you can... If anyone agrees to work on your 'project' you will then act as a secretary and set up calls between them and the client. You will do this for minimum 10 hours a day (normally more like 12), every day, potentially for years, until you realize you need to leave.
The contracted hours are 8.30-6.30 with no flexibility (apart from when you take you lunch break - which I was told was a perk of the job – although many people don’t take a lunch break). There is no possibility to wfh as ‘that’s not possible for this kind of work’ (not sure which part of going on LinkedIn and cold calling can’t be done from home). Please don’t join if you enjoy doing things outside of work as you will be encouraged to stop doing these.
You will only be hired if you 1. look good on LinkedIn (they like fancy university names and good-looking people) 2. sound good on the phone (they love a posh kid) 3. can speak multiple languages (allows you to cold call more people). I would highly recommend not applying here if you like analytical work and using your brain, as unfortunately that won't be used here. It will also be extremely difficult to leave as you work 24/7 and people know what expert networks do now so lying on your CV probably won’t work.
The only skills you will develop at AS are how to search and copy/paste on LinkedIn, and the ability to cold call.
Obviously if working for an Expert Network is your dream career then this is a great place to start – for anyone thinking about it as a spring board please think twice. You will regret it.
