Pros
For a time, Appviewx was giving its competition a run for their money but the market shifted and other, relatively new competitors came in and blind-sided the company. Add to this, a bad upgrade of the product resulting in many angry customers and I believe they've been struggling to survive ever since.
Cons
It never ceases to amaze me how one bad hire at a critical position within the company can completely derail an organization and its prospects for success. At Appviewx, this happened when the CEO hired a good friend of his to become the CRO. Another reviewer observed, and I will corroborate, that this individual was so divisive and antagonistic to the sales force that reps would do anything to avoid interacting with him. He was a bully; his forecast calls were a blood bath, and no one was spared. Sales excel when there is a high level of positive momentum and camaraderie, along with mutual respect. Prior to this person's arrival I would say the company was aiming in this direction. That was all blown up over his tenure. Since his departure several more attempts have been made to recapture some momentum through other regime changes but sadly each was worse than the previous. Now, their time has passed, the market has changed and new, more nimble competitors have taken the lead.
