Pros

Empowerment and support from management. Generally a good company to work for. Lots of additional benefits.

Cons

Although the company do try to promote within where possible, opportunity is limited. Salary is quite low unless you are a senior manager but that is fairly standard in hospitality.

Thank you for your feedback - we really value your input. We want all of our teams to feel empowered so its great that you feel this way. We love to be able to promote internally and we hope that you find opportunities to suit you in the future. We have some fantastic examples of senior staff who have made their way through our ranks and we hope to have many more in the future.

Pros

The pay is higher than many similar housekeeping roles in the area, and most colleagues were friendly and supportive, which helped make difficult shifts more manageable.

Cons

The housekeeping department was chronically understaffed, which led to unrealistic workload expectations. Room allocation targets did not reflect real working conditions and did not account for heavily soiled rooms or non-cleaning tasks. Training and induction were minimal and disorganised, rotas were often issued at short notice despite promises otherwise, and there was an unspoken expectation to work beyond scheduled hours. When concerns were raised, management support felt limited.

Pros

Get to meet a lot of people and have a first-hand experience in hospitality

Cons

If hospitality isn't your thing it will feel boring and dragging most days
