Great Company - Executive Brius Employee Review

Great work environment. Flexible schedule.

At Brius, I have no negative comments.

The only real pro was the fact that the technology itself has so much potential, regardless of the company. Outside of a select few individuals within management who made the working culture poor, other employees were great to work and spend time outside of work with.

It would be difficult to capture the full extent of how toxic it was for me working at BRIUS, because of the complexity of the situation. Maybe I viewed it poorly, but I saw a decent amount of turnover that I assume means otherwise. Consistently the managers were dismissive and rude towards me, and hard to work with, often cutting corners to get work done. Often my concerns were brushed under the table. I dreaded going to work knowing I would have to interact with certain people in the company, knowing how they made me feel (terrible in terms of my experience, knowledge, and overall position in the company). There is one person who likes to run the show, and if you don't agree, better move on. I felt there was a clear lack of engineering experience, making it hard to try and do things the right way. Furthermore, I saw a deeply ingrained management problem. Certain individuals seemed to feel the need to micromanage every step of the process, from technician level to senior engineering. Communicating projects through 'departments' was hugely difficult, as communication was nonexistent. The last issue lies in the company culture, which seemingly promotes long hours, including time spent on weekends and holidays. I observed employees frequently staying until 10-12 pm, daily, plus weekends and holidays. Maybe it has gotten better with growth, but it was crazy to experience.
