Pros

- Fantastic teammates in the vast majority of cases. High level of team competency in BA, QA, development and sales/marketing. Friendly, inclusive team spirit with a commitment to high standards. - Nice, clean office with plenty of energy drinks, snacks and coffee. - A variety of convenient lunch options are available nearby, though it's worth noting that lunchtime is strictly limited for new joiners. - Access to Udemy is unrestricted, and there's a dedicated hour each week for personal development. - Hardware provided is generally at a very good level. New MacBooks, good monitors, desks and chairs.

Cons

- Technology Stack and Employee Trust. Company has transitioned to renovating a pre-built somewhat outdated codebase instead of using the products developed in house, despite the most recent in house product being largely a success, in my view, for the company. This also meant that over half the development team were shunted to working on frameworks and languages, which prior to them joining the company, they had zero experience in and many have no interest in pursuing. This decision was also made despite overwhelming push back from the vast majority of the development team. - Depressing atmosphere and Troublesome churn issue. Announcements when people were leaving or joining the company were rare. Teams are left to independently manage introductions, on-boardings/off-boardings and farewells, often without any upcoming notice of the event. I feel management does not react well to people looking to move onto other opportunities. - Intense micromanagement and Interference. Management regularly stands behind employees, closely watching the employees activity and commenting on various actions. - Issues with management. Excessive controlling policies have been being brought in to strictly regiment lunch times (which have caused forced separation of new hires from previously hired employees), warnings given for phone use. No leniency by official policy for early in/early out or working later hours to spread the day, a common and practical practice allowed by many similar software companies. Communications from Management in my opinion is, in general, very poor. - Broken Trust and Confusion. Inaccuracies about company stature and job specs when hiring. I noted this myself when issues with my role came to light shortly after I joined with the expectations of my role being changed without a single one to one discussion. I have heard remarks from multiple new hires about how the company stature and condition was not at all like how it was presented during the interview process.
