I worked at CBP Lawyers full-time for more than a year
Pros
- Central CBD office location - good amenities and views.
- Good quality and variety of insurance litigation and advisory work.
Cons
- Insurance practice required to bill several hours a day more than solicitors in other practice groups (e.g. property and development, or commercial litigation) due to low rates.
- High staff turnover in insurance practice, all staff members significantly overworked.
- Poor remuneration, even when individual fee earners are well above hour and billable budgets.
- Management (non -insurance practitioners) care very little for the basement-dwelling insurance practitioners.

"Dynamic and vibrant work culture"
I worked at CBP Lawyers for less than a year
Pros
Friday night drinks, team building events, lots of development and training opportunities.
Cons
It is all hands on deck working in a fast-paced environment which can tend to get stressful time-to-time, but the day goes fast!
