    Pros

    Flexible time commitment; that's it.

    Cons

The testing/interview process leads you to believe that you'll be taking papers from non-native English speakers and making them readable for publication in official scientific journals. This is NOT the case. The overseer editors act as if each paper needs to be thesis-reviewed for an English PhD and will tremendously lower your Quality Rating for tiny grammar infractions. They will also tremendously lower your Quality Rating for obviously subjective word-uses that they disagree with. This lowers the amount you will get paid. You are also NOT guaranteed any kind of consistent work. Sometimes you will have many assignments to choose from, but oftentimes, little or no work is actually available. Choosing assignments is also a gamble; you can preview the paper in question before taking a job, however, you do not know exactly what you'll be expected to do with it before accepting - you are oftentimes required to do much more than English-language editing (something ELSE which was not indicated in the testing/interview process.) You often are expected to flat-out baby the authors by writing their cover letters, and creating an entirely separate document which contains the pros/cons/suggestions breakdown of their paper... EVEN THOUGH you are already adding comments to the original paper detailing the exact same information. In short, only apply if you're a grammar-nazi who can tolerate unnecessary levels of paperwork.
