Pros

There weren't really any positives to this post. They tried to make the headquarters a positive but it ended up just being a bunch of people in a house making noise while you try to work.

Cons

They have no idea how to manage or inform new workers and no standards to work from for new employees. This means that you must work 60 hours a week to figure out the dozens of items messed up on each project. Additionally, there is no project governance, so each project is handled differently with no lessons being gathered from past projects.

Pros

Flexibility to work remotely Relatively younger teams, and the presence (even unusual over reliance) of graduates and interns in many functions.

Cons

- High turnover across all sections of the firm, especially among technical staff. Employees quitting within 6 months is not an uncommon phenomenon- for various reasons, and sadly the firm does not do much to acknowledge and remedy its weaknesses. The culture of a team can change dramatically in a matter of months - The firm-wide culture is set by the Sales team- who call the shots. A tech-oriented culture is not what you will find. Clashes between Sales/Tech are common. Transparency and an open exchange of ideas is not valued - Often low client satisfaction on the larger projects- which can be seen as being rushed into production. Sales team aggressively markets positive testimonials of the simpler, easier projects - As a result of these factors, developers are in a conundrum. Between the suboptimal design and the redundant levels of supervision/reporting, any developer is forced to play the political game, pushing back against requests from those who do not understand technology and protecting his territory, more than anything else. - In general, the sister concern 'Hatch/Second' is given more attention. Thus the management does not involve themselves in daily operations (Strange for a firm of this size!).
