One on one caregiving, sometimes lots of downtime, depending on supported individual (client or resident in other caregiving jobs) can be calm environment. Bonuses and semi frequent raises over the last year. Overtime availability but not required. Appreciation for longer term employees
Cons
High coordinator turnover. Overnight sleep deduction. Lack of transparency on supported individuals behavior. Without overtime, still not a living wage, even if you are a facilitator(unless they give yearly raises, unclear at this time?) If you are an overnight caregiver you are paid a lesser wage for the whole time, regardless of if you work hours while the supported individual is awake. If you work overnight and the next day or previous day (24hrs) there is a 6hr sleep deduction. If supported individual has behaviors it can take a long time to have them addressed in a supportive way. Lack of accountability within staff due to inconsistent staff meetings.
