A lot of freedom in the technologies being used. - Roles are clearly defined and if you want to be recognized, you need to be willing to put in the work. Where isn't that true though? If you ride the line, that is really on you.

If you are used to someone else protecting your time, you will not do well here. You have to be your own gate-keeper and understand that people are going to need you for a lot of things, and you need to be able to balance those distractions with your own workload. That is true of any company this size.
