Confetti Response
1yWe’re sorry to hear your concerns, but we appreciate you sharing your thoughts and feedback, just as we valued your contributions when you were part of the team.
While we are not able to act on every piece of feedback shared, we can assure you that we do read, listen and consider it all and how we can balance the needs of the business along with the personal needs of our most important resource - our people.
We relentlessly evaluate our processes, procedures, offerings etc on all levels both externally for customers and internally for our team to make sure that we are providing the most optimal experience we can for all. We are fully aware that sometimes it doesn’t feel like enough, but we truly try to do all that we can given our limited 2 person HR team balancing the confines of the ‘startup nature” which does present immense challenges and roadblocks given the fast paced way and financially limited ways.
The transition towards increased automation and streamlining is aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability - something we’ve always worked on and will always continue to work on. It should not come at the expense of people feeling secure in their positions. The restructure that was required recently was necessary to reinvest in new departments that would allow us to better support new revenue goals.
We believe in the importance of job transparency and fair wage practices. All of the steps we are currently taking to better define department responsibilities roles are with the intention of creating a structure which will allow us to properly create salary bands and growth paths for the team as we scale in the future.
We recognize that business decisions can often feel harsh, but there are at times decisions that need to be made to secure the long-term viability of Confetti. Making the difficult decision to let a team member go is one that we do not take lightly as we understand the significant impact it has on their personal lives.
We truly wish you all the best in your next role and team.
