Pros

I had to move away for family reasons, and that is the only reason I am not with the company anymore. However, I can say without question this company prepared me for my current job more than I ever thought was happening at the time. The people at the company are driven and highly motivated. Management, although they have high expectations of their employees are always willing to work on solutions to better improving the employment experience for their people as well as helping each person in the company achieve their personal career goals. The manager has weekly accountability meetings with each person, and at first I was terrified of these, but I soon realized that because of the skills the company was helping me develop, I was hitting my goals faster and faster and suddenly these meetings became the highlight of my week! I got to hear about what I was doing well and they gave me a game plan on how to improve my weaknesses for the week. The clients they represent are second to none. Everyone from Management, to administration to account managers, event coordinators and program managers are on the same page as far as goals for growth of the company. I always felt like everyone was invested in my success. The environment is upbeat, and full of young to midlevel professionals with big career goals. It was truly a rewarding BUT challenging experience. I had no sales, marketing or management experience when I started and I currently manage 40 outside sales reps and oversee a marketing team for a big firm, and it only took 3 interviews with one company after we settled in our new home for me to land that job based off of my experience with Connect DFW.

Cons

Like I said, expectations and goals are high, which sometimes creates a stressful day, but I have never had a day where I wasn't better for the challenges. I saw a few people that I thought would be tremendously successful fall to the pressure, but most people were able to rise to the challenge. This phrase is thrown around far too often in the working world, but I find it to be true for this company, "Its just not for everyone".

Pros

I worked for Connect DFW for a little of 3 years. It was not only my first career decision but one i will never regret. The staff was like a family to me, always there for you when you needed them. Executive Management is what really changed my future. You always say how if someone would just believe in you and give you a chance then success will follow. Funny thing because that actually happened to me. I was a sponge and wanted as much information on business, communications, and management. Really anything they were willing to teach me I wanted to learn. Unfortunately circumstances happen in your life and my family and I had to move out of state. I still work as a consultant from time to time, but without the teaching, training, guidance and trust Management gave me, I wouldn't be where I am now. It was amazing at how many wonderful opportunity have presented itself since then. However, I wouldn't be able to do what I do today if it wasn't for all that I learned with Connect DFW. It was by far the best career decision I have or ever will make in my life. I highly recommend this company to someone looking to work hard, likes a team environment, and has a drive for success.

Cons

The only negative was that I can't do more with the company from out of state.
