1. If you are from TN, Then you have "more" career growth opportunities in Bangalore Regions, the south zone management tends to favor people from TN for all the top jobs, and then the locals are held for the lower level jobs. 2. And the compensation is a joke, they pay more for the vehicle loaders than they pay for the others..i.e more than 50% of the employees that I've come across get paid 2 or 3k (minimum) less than the vehicle loaders and the security personnel. 3. For your salary to make a positive impact on your life, it is recommended to do 4 Hrs of Overtime every 6 days every week and most people work even on Sunday. 4. And you must work for 8.5 Hours for 6 days every week (As per the Factories Act 1948, every adult (a person who has completed 18 years of age) cannot work for more than 48 hours in a week and not more than 9 hours in a day. According to Section 51 of the Act, the spread over should not exceed 10-1/2 hours). 5. Overtime is paid at the regular rate of the salary (I thought that the overtime pay rates were supposed to be higher than the regular rates. Factories Act, 1948, regarding the working hours, spread over and overtime in Sec. 51, 54 to 56 & 59 of the Act ). -->But I'm not a lawyer so...What do I know anyway..!!<-- 6. No shift allowance if you are working in odd shifts, also no shift rotations, you are stuck with the shift you are currently working in. 7. And last but not the least, the appraisal procedure procedure is a joke, some times I've gotten a hike less than Rs. 200. The reason for which is beyond me. The HR personnel are a bunch of sadistic whatevers, they never answer your questions with straight answers, because who deserves straight answers anyway.
