Excellent work culture, good pay for public-sector, and excellent benefits. Most administrators and managers are very good with their staff and the public. Amazing HR department who are highly supportive of employee health, safety, and wellbeing.

Like anywhere, there are a few managers and employees who get away with treating coworkers and customers poorly in the name of "following the rules". However, this is a small minority - most people in the organization are very people-oriented, empathetic, and kind.

There are a lot of good people who work here.

Those good people but they are not in management positions. I saw some critical and hardworking people laid off this week who didn’t deserve it. People often join the government for job security, At least I feel fortunate to be in a different department where I still feel secure. Now I see them repeating the mistakes of the past.
