Pros
If you are technology oriented, looking for challenges, you have innovative ideas and if you are passionate about creating niche software products, then Decos will give you ample opportunities to do so. I started with this company as a Jr. Software Developer, and left as a Technical Architect. Was involved in almost all aspects of software development at various stages - from coding, designing, gathering requirements from clients, deploying software at end user locations, providing support to end users, handling small teams - for more than 14 years. And all I could say is, there are ups and downs, and maybe not all your suggestions/ideas are taken forth, but they will at least listen to what you say and give it a thought. Pros: - Good opportunities for technically inclined individuals. Like others mentioned, excellent company to start your career with. - Promotes innovative ideas from employees at all levels - Technically strong colleagues, also a CEO who is a techie himself - Company strategies are continually reviewed and frequent changes introduced for betterment of workplace - The management tries to maintain as much transparency as possible - Onsite opportunities for those working on Decos products. (For those working on client projects, it entirely depends on clients.) - Almost flat hierarchy, enabling employees to interact directly with the top management - Empowers employees who wish to take initiative
Cons
- The company is undergoing a turbulent patch at the moment, with a lot of people leaving the organization including those who have been here for a long time. But its only a passing phase. - Career-wise you can grow to a certain level but then after a while your growth is stunted, since it is still a mid-sized organization.
