Pros

Congratulations to the 2 former Knoll wanna-be's that tanked profits by half!~ Great decision making for profit loss.

Cons

Disturbingly mean and vindictive behavior. Unsettling amount of ego, drunk with power, no business acumen.

Pros

Working at Design Public Group was one of the most meaningful chapters in my career. I came into the role from the residential design space without a background in the contract furniture world—and from day one, I felt incredibly supported. My National Sales Director was not just a great leader, but a true mentor. She took the time to travel to my territory, on several occasions, to guide me, answer my (many) questions, and help me build confidence in a new space in the industry. That kind of mentorship is rare, and I am grateful for it. Beyond just leadership, what stood out to me, was my fellow sellers and the broader team. The team at DPG is smart, generous, and just really fun to work with. Even though we were spread out across the country, I always felt like I had people I could lean on—whether I was navigating a tricky client situation, strategizing a big project, or just needing a gut check. There’s a real sense of camaraderie, and I never felt like I was going it alone. The role itself came with a lot of autonomy, which I loved. I was trusted to run my territory like a business, but I also knew I had support when I needed it from my manager, my colleagues and my AMAZING sales support partner. That balance helped me grow so much, both personally and professionally.

Cons

If I had to name a challenge, I’d say building a book of business was tougher than I initially expected—especially as I was learning the contract market in a territory as expansive as Southern California. DPG represents a wide portfolio of brands, and each one has its own way of working. Balancing the needs of those partners with the needs of the client could sometimes be tricky to navigate. That said, the experience was deeply informative and helped me sharpen my ability to manage complexity and advocate effectively on both sides.
