    I worked at Everlane

    Pros

Young, creative, enthusiastic work environment. Company is growing, many upcoming opportunities.

    Cons

Serious lack of mature leadership within the company. Company is run by mostly 20yos, role-playing as mature adults and managers. No real openness, transparency and honest communication among employees, as if there were elephants in the room, especially in regards to hierarchy and office politics. People in the company are VERY nice, each to get ahead on their own.

    Advice to Management

It's given everyone at the company, joining the company, are smart and able to do work, complete task, be creative. What else can they bring to the company?

I have been working at Everlane full-time for less than a year

    Pros

When you walk in to the office, you feel this incredible energy. Everlane is full of very smart and creative individuals. Every day, I go home feeling like I learned something new. Even though Everlane has such a strong brand in the market, we are still quite small, which means we don't have a ton of infrastructure in place. For me - this is what drew me to the company and position. Everyone in the company is BUILDING...

    Cons

As I mentioned above - we are learning as we grow and there is a lot of work to do! Every day is a hustle and there is this feeling internally that we are all in it together. There are times when you might be asked to do something and you have no idea how to do it. Google might end up being your best friend at times! But you figure it out and if you fail - it's ok as long as you learn and grow from it. There are people...

I worked at Everlane full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you’re looking for a career in consumer, can’t emphasize enough how many opportunities come your way both as an employee (in terms of partners, growth and exposure to other brands and interesting initiatives) and post-employment in terms of recruiting Very smart, passionate and surprisingly data/tech driven team that combines the best of fashion with the best of Silicon Valley

    Cons

Churn and burn culture - low pay and somewhat functionally competitive with high expectations that created high turnover As a manager I was chided for investing too much in my direct reports or other coworkers — not a place that values development If you can hack It, a lot of opportunies come your way but for me It wasn’t worth the cost

    Advice to Management

Keep the creative and innovative spark alive while also investing in your people! I think it’s unfortunate many alums don’t regret working there, but also wouldn’t recommend It to a friend
