Pros
They allow you to self management yourself.
Cons
This company is a horrible place to work if you are a person of color. I worked internally as a recruiting coordinator. When you first start the job, they pawn the work culture as family orientated. But the longer you work there the more you realize that only applies if your ideas and way of life is similar to management. I am a person a color and they initially welcomed me into the office and made me feel comfortable. If you do your job well and exceed expectations like I did, they will leave you alone and let you do your job. The problem with the work environment is that the team lead in the schererville office would say things that were very culturally insensitive and not think anything was wrong with this. There were only two people of color working within the entire franchise, myself and a young man. I guess he tolerated this kind of behavior but I didn't. And I'm assuming since this person in management had been there for many years, the company encouraged this behavior as well. I had zero tolerance for someone speaking rude or racist(to some degree). I confronted this person in management and advised them that I wouldn't tolerate this nor would I work around someone who talks like this. Of course she was apologetic but her behavior will not change. I let the owner of the franchise know the issue I was experiencing and she was receptive to what I had to say but at the same time seemed as though she was rationalizing her behavior. Overall this environment was not professional enough for me. And I quit this job due to other issues but this was the icing on the cake. Reporting them is the least I will do. No person of color should have to work in an environment where comments are made that indirectly attack their culture. Although I checking this person, I highly doubt they will change their behavior until they loose their job over how they treat people.
