Pros
Some people are really nice and are trying to make the best of a bad situation. CEO is kind but just a figure head in this VC backed company. There are folks who truly believe in the incredible impact the medical device has on people's lives. I'm marking the CEO as neutral only because the person who is acting as the CEO, the president, is the one in charge.
Cons
The President of the company is a mercurial and combative micromanager. His VC company has taken over what was a family business. It's a small company with a great product that can really change lives. Unfortunately, the VC has made changes to drain every drop of profit from this company and in doing so, has created a culture of fear and discontent. I've seen people berated publicly and with vitriol by the president. He is as inauthentic as he is conniving. Please read favorable reviews with a critical eye. The glowing reviews were all rewritten within days of each other and all are 5-star. How realistic is that? It wouldn't surprise me if the president created fake accounts to post them himself. His investment took a big hit with covid-19 and the product suffered major technical issues. A friend who still works there says that Sales staff is actively looking for new work and the threat of layoffs is constant. This VC has ruined what was a stable and successful family business. Please consider this review before choosing to work with this company. You're sanity and pride will thank you!
