Pros

The work hours are flexible , work from home days, location and great colleagues

Cons

Absolutely no growth. Once your in a position that is it. Do not expect to move forward. Even when you try, management will bring you back down. Specifically for the Professional Liability Investigator (PLI) and Investigative Associates (IA). You are given so much work and no gratitude is shown towards you. Managers are disrespectful and will yell at you/send you belittling emails. The IA salary is baffling for NYC and they do so much work....RUN! It is not worth it. The IA's should be praised by the amount of work they do but instead they are unnoticed and SEVERELY underpaid. The PLI are given cases to investigate that truly do not need to be. They are given unreasonable deadlines and are often given cases that are classified as "urgent". Both groups are overworked and unappreciated. If you bring the underpaid salary to the attention of HR, they'll disregard you and pretend the conversation never happened. HR does nothing to better management.....it's a continuous cycle of the same thing. We appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback about the Claim Department. We’re sorry to hear that you feel you had such a poor experience during your time with us. The PLI’s and IA’s are Union positions and HR must follow the collective bargaining agreement in regards to salaries and other protocol. As far as cases go, all PLI’s are given cases that need to be investigated. Regardless of how insignificant they may seem, each case is equally important and needs to be treated as such. Some will inevitably be more exciting than others. We are continually striving to improve staff appreciation initiatives and work with individual managers to coach them on how to best work with their teams. New avenues for growth are being created more regularly, as well.

Pros

It is well known that the atmosphere in the company depends on the management, primarily on the CEO of the company. From what I learned from other employees, who have longer work experience at FOJP than I do, the atmosphere in the company has changed dramatically after Walter Harris became the CEO. Employees are no longer afraid of visiting the CEO’s office, on the contrary, they know that his doors are always open for any problems or concerns they would like to share. He always listens carefully and takes them seriously, no matter if it is business or personal. In a relatively short period of time, he was able to fix tremendous problems that he inherited from the previous management and brought the company back in “good standing”, In addition, he built a strong management team, which benefits both the company’s clients and the employees. Great CEO, great company!

Cons

Can’t think of any at this moment.
