I’ve observed a tendency of language-based partiality, particularly among some northern colleagues. The environment is dominated by outdated technologies and mostly maintenance work. Due to the limited technical engagement, there’s often unnecessary interference, constant questioning, and unconstructive discussions behind one’s back. What’s more concerning is the lack of seriousness towards performance ratings and professional growth.
