Pros

Heast has a state-of-the-art tech stack. The benefits are top-notch, the product set is best-in-class, and the perks are plentiful. The people who do the work are solid individuals.

Cons

Executive leadership is always at war, and the power factions don't make it easy to lead or be led with integrity. As many of my former colleagues told me, "it's the most politically charged organization they've ever experienced." The job lost me, and so did the culture. There a several senior executives who are just not honest, have their own agenda, and some... cheer for others to fail. I've watched from the sidelines (or the peanut gallery) and just felt bad. It's a shame. I believe they continue to leave money on the table because positioning and power take precedence over solid sales and business practices.

Pros

I love working at Hearst in the Baltimore, Maryland market. I have worked for many radio stations over the past nearly 40 years and this is one of the best companies as far as working environment. I really feel cared for here.

Cons

On a personal level, I've had a hard time getting full time employment within the company, which is discouraging. Also, it takes forever for management to make hiring decisions.
