I’ve been able to work on genuinely interesting and complex retention problems across a wide range of brands. The level of strategy expected is high, which pushes you to think deeper than surface-level execution. The team is smart, motivated, and generally aligned around doing quality work. Leadership is approachable and open to discussion, and there’s a strong emphasis on learning, improvement, and thoughtful strategy rather than just output for output’s sake. The pace can be intense and expectations are high, which won’t be a fit for everyone. Because the company is always scaling, processes and ownership can sometimes increase abruptly, and priorities can shift quickly based on client needs. Workload can fluctuate, leading to periods of high intensity.

I don’t have a bad thing to say about Homestead, the culture, or the leadership, other than to be prepared for how hyper/specialized the agency is. The people are super kind and talented but with it being a remote agency, the days can feel very monotonous. If you want a specialized role in digital marketing and prefer an independent work structure, this place is perfect!

The independent work structure paired with a lack of job training and proactive professional development can make the job feel isolating.
