Pros

What seemed like a dream company, soon became a nightmare. The CEO is excellent at product development which is why the software/platform is extraordinary. I also really did enjoy meeting some of the people on the team, as some of them are truly great people.

Cons

However, the CEO also rules the sales department with an iron fist. He believes he always knows best when he does not have a sales background, and should really let the sales leaders do their jobs. The pricing of their solution should also be adjusted as they lose every single deal over how expensive it is. This company will set you back if you join as a young or upcoming SDR. I have seen it happen to myself, and I always went above and beyond for the company. They also act like they take care of their employees/care for you deeply, just for you to become easily expendable the moment you either fall behind or have a process/mindset that does not align with leadership. I have witnessed sales leaders at this company being let go, let alone SDRs. The turnover rate is at an all-time high so please proceed with caution. I'd advise all SDRs to please seek other opportunities and let this be a last resort. - If you read this and decide to move forward anyway, well good luck. You can't say I did not tell you so!

Pros

Coming out of college and getting my first taste of the corporate world, I was nervous about the environment I was stepping into. Level made that transition incredibly smooth. Having executives in the office and easily accessible has been extremely valuable, whether it is asking questions or learning from their experience. While the sales program is still new, it is clear the leadership team is doing everything they can to set you up for success. They truly invest in you here, and it feels rewarding walking into the office every day.

Cons

As mentioned before, it is a startup, so things are constantly changing whether you like it or not. I do not necessarily see this as a con, since many of the new initiatives are exciting, but from a structural standpoint, I can understand how that level of change can feel risky.

Pros

I think Level is in a really interesting space that is ripe for disruption and that leads to some pretty cool use cases with large brands.

Cons

Completely void of any semblance of a company culture really sucked the life out of offsites and larger group conversations. I think the negativity that starts at the top really snowballs quickly to the middle management layer and by the time it gets to ICs it's a bit out of control. Most leadership meetings were unproductive and you could tell folks were really there out of fear more than anything. Leadership was either unable to accept or implement changes to critical feedback and eventually I think people gave up providing it. Work/life balance was the worst I had ever had. 9pm slacks, 11pm emails, you name it and all were expected to be met with immediate responses.
