Pros

Everyone, on the whole, is lovely. I have never worked somewhere where I feel such genuine care for one another, where you receive hugs and not handshakes when meeting colleagues for the first time. Staff look out for one another and generally speaking nothing is too much to ask if you're stuck or facing an issue. 4pm finish every Friday is great. There is a genuine flexibility to working at Lifetime. If you need to take a longer lunch break, visit the dentist or go pick up the kids from school - there will be no micromanagement on this and management trust that you will work flexibly while meeting your hours and deadlines.

Cons

Unfortunately redundancies are now the norm - and have happened approximately every six months for at least the two years I have been with Lifetime. Even jobs everyone perceives as non-negotiable roles can face redundancy. Fearing redundancy is an anxious situation to be put in at work and I have some colleagues who have been at risk 5+ times but managed to save their roles by applying elsewhere. If reporting into director level, the human-ness of Lifetime can be lost a little. Less focus on you as a person, what's going on for you personally, and annual reviews, meaningful progression etc become more of a tickbox.

Lifetime Group Response

Thanks for your balanced feedback. We are proud of our culture and how our team members live our values, mission and vision and it's great that you notice this too. We've worked hard to enhance our benefits in meaningful ways and it is good to read that you find these tailor well to your needs. You are right, the Independent Training sector has been heavily impacted by uncertainty and change over the past few years, influenced by economic and political factors at a macro level, which have resulted in Lifetime Group needing to react and adjust our approach to keep ahead and continue delivering for our learners. We appreciate the toll this takes on our team members and work hard to support them during periods of change, particularly where this leads to redundancies. We recognise that there is always more to do here and your feedback is helpful to add to our lessons learnt review we complete following any restructure. Please do share any further thoughts you have with me felicity.white@lifetimetraining.co.uk

Pros

Awesome clients and great team along with continuing education

Cons

Commissions are ridiculously low. Be prepared to not make a lot your first 3 month. Only good if you’re a student
