Pros
Great employees, who really care! Not sure about the CEO, but MAPFRE USA got great strategic leaders from its acquisition of Commerce Insurance Strategic company, with good thought process. Setting themselves up for long term success by investing strategically
Cons
Senior leadership needs to stop trying to imitate their success stories from Spain in the USA (the Spanish and US insurance markets are very, very, very much different!) Not sure if everyone in the company really knows and follows the corporate mantras/beliefs that come from Spain Expense problems. More specifically, the IT department seems to be a perennial bottleneck for every major project
