Pros

the company has a noble vision, unfortunately they are too disorganized/inexperienced to embody it

Cons

-all of the cons stem from the same issue: lack of experienced leadership within the company. Leadership's focus is completely off base and the corporate culture flounders as a result. -leadership seems more concerned with going on retreats/writing newsletters than leading the company/financial performance/achieving good clinic metrics (clients suffer as a result) - management values flowery speech and not results (they have no metrics to even evaluate employee performance, so charismatic people continue to take advantage, conflicts of interest abound) -extremely disorganized and disjointed work culture, leading to OT and burnout (tons of useless meetings due to poor organization and the company is top-heavy, with more management than mid level workers to complete the work) -poor decision-making framework leading to overspending and overstretching of resources (ie. management decides to implement new software /systems without consulting any users, software/system ends up inadequate for company needs, hours of meetings ensue, projects run massively overbudget, and system ends up scrapped/reverted) -high turnover & lack of transparency/loyalty: many workers quit or are fired without cause

Pros

Good pay with benefits. Positive inclusive environment with overall good multidiscipline team relationships with benefit of in-house psychiatry. No micromanaging and clear defined expectations.

Cons

Heavy client facing hour caseloads that could lead to burnout. Despite generous PTO, there is pressure to have clinical schedule set 3+ months in advance making it difficult to balance personal needs. Medical practice culture is put onto therapists.

Pros

- Helping people who are struggling - Being a part of a field that's revolutionizing psychiatry - Good middle management

Cons

- Insane workload (there's never getting caught up - you always have stuff to be doing which is stressful) - The management they brought in to "correct" the company had more bad than good consequences. I'm unsure if they are still in their position, but when I worked there, they were new (like me) but very micro-managing and did not understand how a good employee/employer relationship worked. The middle management was very nice and approachable. - They do not actually believe their company values (the owner visited us and mentioned how they'd love if we could embrace a company culture that was more accepting about employees own experiences with the drugs we run clinical trials on); people who spoke about their use were discriminated against. - I took a brief break under the agreed upon notion that I'd return in a week after regaining my health. I was let go halfway through this "mental health break". I could tell my supervisor cared about me, HR absolutely did not - they simply lied to my face to avoid any potential "crash out" an employee would have if being let go under my circumstances. That experience has forever hurt my trust in HR/companies that only see people as liabilities or money-makers.
