Pros

Twice a week lunch Fun Christmas Party Work from home once a week Volunteer Time Off

Cons

Management is not honest with employees, prefers to avoid difficult conversations instead of addressing issues head-on. No formal review process - ad hoc by department and at manager leisure. Subsequently raises were rarely afforded. Incentive program that was promised failed due to unachievable expectations. Management didn't address this until confronted on all staff call. All offices outside of Redwood City are satellite and have limited to no influence or say. Huge emphasis is put on Japan office, despite the offices failure to turn much of a profit. Constant "restructuring" of management and teams. Multiple rounds of lay-offs were never discussed as a whole by management. Remaining employees were notified in vague emails, or in a need-to-know manner. Sales figures were frequently inflated or falsely depicted on monthly all-hands calls. Incompetent employees were moved to different departments instead of let go.

Pros

Working at Pierry has been one of the most enriching experiences of my professional career. I have performed multiple job functions at this company and my professional capabilities have grown in ways that I never imagined that they could. I learn something new every day and I find that it is extremely rewarding to be consistently surrounded by intelligent, motivated, and skilled professionals. I am thrilled to come to a job every day where my work is varied, I am constantly challenged, and where success is recognized. This company has come a long way since I started at Pierry and it has been amazing to see how much we have grown as a business and the footprint that we have been able to leave in the digital marketing space. I respect the employees that work at Pierry and the management that leads our teams. I am extremely proud to be a part of this family and look forward to great things that are still to come.

Cons

Working in the professional services industry is difficult. There are a number of constant challenges our teams face when performing work for our customer base. The greatest con of working at Pierry is that there are not always clear-cut solutions to problems, and certain situations take a lot of initiative and brain power to solve correctly. There are support systems are in place to assist our teams with trying times, but there is always room for improvement.
