Pros

Project work is interesting and the engineers are smart.

Cons

CEO is toxic. He constantly pulls resources off projects leaving teams under staffed, talks poorly about everyone behind their back and micromanages his leadership staff. As an engineer, you can expect to have your strong resources replaced and occasionally have to carry complex projects on your own while the customer suffers. The culture was good, but now engineers walk on egg shells as the CEO terminates employees without telling the team what happened to their coworker.

Pros

Amazing talent - that checked any egos at the door. It is really rare to work with a fun Team that is also humble. I've worked at some places that touted they were "10-xers" and they were. But, big BUT here; Prominent Edge is, in my opinion, comprised of "100-xers" the interesting takeaway was that I was there for many months before that realization dawned on me. Amazing Developers, Data Scientists, DevOps Engineers, Designers & Researchers. The support Team of Accountants, Invoice Managers, Recruiters and BD folks really SUPPORT the company! The CEO is the most empathetic, kindest most caring person I've ever met. That gentle spirit permeates through Prominent Edge.

Cons

They aren't an IPO - yet.

Pros

PE granted the freedom to work creatively and actively encouraged taking initiative. I was always well supported by leadership, empowered to take action, and was comfortable sharing my thoughts on any facet of the company. I always felt my opinions were taken into consideration, and I was never asked to sacrifice my work/home balance. There was always a fresh challenge, and they always pushed me to exceed my own expectations.

Cons

As a company accepting a variety of contracts from various clients, you must be ready to come up to speed on new projects very quickly. This can sometimes be very off-putting, but PE will always have your back to help you succeed.
