Pros

Company tries to take care of their employees on the front line. Benefits are decent and plenty of insentives to help out as well,

Cons

The higher up you move in the company you realize that bullying and retaliation is a normal part of the operation. No matter what they say about it and how it is far from their policy it is very much a part of normal standard operating procedures. I had a manger telling me how a vehicle operated and it was completely wrong however in the middle of this meeting I was the one being told I have no clue how a vehicle operates. However this ex-general manager keeps getting promoted and possibly the worse employee of the entire organization. DH is the most unprofessional person with in the operation and now in the area office the last place a person like this should be. I worked in many devisions and areas of this operation and could not take the mental toll this place puts on its people that actually want to make a difference!

Pros

The pay is competitive, especially with overtime opportunities, and there is strong potential to earn a solid income for employees willing to work hard. The job also provides steady work and consistent hours, which can be valuable for drivers looking for financial stability.

Cons

The work/life balance for roll-off drivers can be difficult, particularly when working weekends. Drivers are often scheduled in a way that keeps hours under 60 while still requiring Saturday work, rather than being given an additional recovery day during the week. With the level of physical labor involved, one day off is often not enough to properly recover. There is also a heavy emphasis on “swinging” containers. While swings can make sense when locations are far apart, many are scheduled for stops that are very close together and provide little operational benefit. Swings add significantly more physical labor for drivers and, in some cases, can actually take longer than traditional service methods. Over time, consistently working 55–60 hour weeks under these conditions can lead to fatigue and burnout.
