Pros

The kids are amazing but that is the only pro in my opinion in terms of day to day working. If you make it through a full year here, other schools in the Nashville area will want to hire you because the word has gotten out about how much of a hell hole this place is to work.

Cons

There is absolutely no work-life balance and the recruiters will lie to your face during your interview to get you to work there. Teacher and administrator turnover is high because it is a toxic work environment. Administrators frequently told teachers that they needed to be available 24/7 and even went as far to say that if teachers did not respond to a student after school hours and that student killed themselves, then the teacher is accountable for that. This school needs to be shut down. I should be sending them an invoice for my therapy sessions that I go through regularly now because of this place.

Pros

Students have natural potential that can be developed with strong leadership, high expectations, and execution. Also, the EL model is second to none. With great execution, this model will see great results. (English classes have two teachers: Core ELA teacher and a EL specialist)

Cons

Learning Stage Leadership Somewhat Incompatible Systems Compliance Oriented (Good/Bad) Inexperienced Teachers (Biggest issue) Poor Benefits Low Student/Parent Accountability
