Pros

Store Manager was lovely, some of the fashion can be considered "high end"

Cons

Too many. Area Manager was condescending and would gaslight you for not meeting impossible KPIs. Payroll Manager was rude and if there were any issues to contact him, he would treat you horribly. Long time customers only wanted to be served by senior management. Clothes were still far too expensive even with the discount applied and you were expected to purchase newly released outfits each time, especially when you are only given 5 hours a week. Expected to wear make up and threatened to be terminated if you do not wear make up, that is discrimination.

Pros

Really good home & worklife balance! Pays better than minimum wage and the ladies who work here are so super lovely!!

Cons

High margins to meet, but other than that, no complaints!

Pros

Some very lovely customers and met lots of nice people - from other brands within MYER.

Cons

The area manager was a toxic, narcissistic bully. When I reported this to HR, I was sent to EAP (therapy) to rethink how I could approach situations with her... When I asked to take annual leave (5 months in a row) it was never a good time, and I was constantly told no - but others were allowed to go. Favouritism is rampant and filters down all the way from head office. It was very clear that nothing I ever did was ever going to be good enough - that included when I got the store to top performing store in the company for the first quarter, and then have it one the last stores in the whole company to still be consistently meeting and exceeding budget... So do not ever go above and beyond, because they won't appreciate it and to them you're just a number.
