Cons
My time at Tendable has been, well, quite the letdown. I'm not thrilled to be writing this review, but I feel it's important to share my experience for anyone considering a job with this company. First off, Tendable's staff situation is a real downer. They don't seem to value the hard work we put in. Forget about moving up the ladder if you're not already a manager. It's like a career traffic jam, and it's demoralising. When it comes to being upfront, Tendable isn't exactly a poster child. They've got this habit of keeping financial problems under wraps until they're basically forced to spill the beans company-wide. That kind of secrecy doesn't exactly foster trust, and it leaves us guessing about the company's future. To make matters worse, Tendable flat-out lied to the engineering team about the redundancies in another department. They said one thing and did another, which left a bad taste in our mouths and shattered trust within the company. Now, let's talk performance reviews. Tendable's approach is seriously flawed. Instead of offering helpful feedback and support, they tend to slap you with a bad annual review just to check a box. It's demotivating and unfair, especially if you're busting your butt. Tendable isn't great at holding on to good people either. They don't make an effort to keep valued employees around, and many of us end up looking for greener pastures. The revolving door of talent is a direct result of the company's lacklustre efforts in this department. But here's the kicker: Tendable thinks negative reinforcement is a motivational secret sauce. Nope, criticism and punishment don't make us work harder. They just make us resent our jobs. To sum it up, I can't, in good conscience, recommend Tendable as a workplace. They don't appreciate their staff, they're secretive about their finances, they have a messed-up performance review system, they don't care about keeping good employees, and they believe in using negativity to get results. It's not exactly a recipe for a happy work life. I hope Tendable rethinks its approach and makes some positive changes down the road. Ps don't believe the positive reviews.
