Pros

The coworkers in my same role

Cons

The lack of support from upper management and leadership. There is a lack of direction on where the company is going in the future that is clearly displayed with the constant acquiring of companies. Leadership loves saying “we’re growing and getting better” but that is never explained or detailed to the employees, other than more companies is clearly better. There is a major lack of direction for individual employee career growth. I reached out to my managers and was told to figure it out, and by the teams I was hoping to join they couldn’t hire additional employees but there’s enough work to be done and I could do both jobs for 2-3 months and hope things change. There is a general lack of appreciation for the individuals at the company and overworking is encouraged. My vacation time was often rejected which upper management could take off weeks at a time.

Hello- Thanks for your sharing your feedback. We wanted to share our perspective on a few of your comments. Our priority has never been around growth for the sake of growth, but being focused on pursuing services our brand partners are looking for to advance their business. Every month we hold a company meeting to provide insight into these priorities, strategies and goals. In a recent company survey, 85% of our team shared that they feel these meetings help them learn about The Stable's vision and mission. Individual career growth is very important to us, which is why we've invested in platforms like 15Five and ask managers to meet quarterly with their teams for developmental conversations. We also have published all job descriptions and Retail career paths so individuals have visibility to possible career options. In the first four months of the year, we have promoted 23 individuals to a higher position within the organization. Regarding our time off, our flex policy allows individuals to feel empowered to take the time off when they need it. In addition to the flex time off and paid holidays, we close the office for an entire week during the month of December to give the team time to recharge and refresh before the new year. It is never our practice to deny time off and only do that in times where there are performance issues, abuse of a policy or a critical business need. Lastly, we know across the country employees felt the fatigue of COVID and feeling like it was hard to ever truly be off. We know that workload felt higher during these times combined with supply chain challenges and that's why we invested in adding 15 new positions to the Target team alone in the past year.

Pros

I enjoyed the people I worked with and the opportunities the job made for me.

Cons

Everything. They work you too hard, management is awful, the CEO is a narcissist and sexist.
