Pros
- Many international teams, which broadens the horizon - Depending on the team, the people are nice, talented and motivated (or not)
Cons
- If you don’t work in wealth management or similar but rather IT, data jobs, risk etc., don’t jojn. Your salary will stagnate, promotions are scarce and there is no budget. - Too much political games that have net-negative impact on the employee motivation and actual output - Too much bureaucracy, they are adding new processes all the time to pretend like they are adding value - A good team will be good, a bad will be bad, and you aren’t able to change anything at all about unfair treatment / racism / whatever from your line manager short of switching teams - Be careful, employee to line manager feedback is not really anonymous, especially in small teams, the line manager will find out and there is nothing that HR will do against retaliation - very old-fashioned and hierarchical, top-down - many “dinosaurs” who have worked here since the 80ies and are keeping they comfortable warm places but are difficult to work with - Tasks are boring from a data science perspective, but at least they are using cloud and some newer technologues - Due to integration with CS, there will be even less money for employees and less opportunities for promotions for a while, but at least this is not the company’s fault
